ICICI Prudential MF, SBI MF, and Societe Generale acquire a stake in PVR valued Rs 380 crore.

Berry Creek Investment, a foreign investor, was the seller in the aforementioned block sales, selling the full 2.49 percent ownership in PVR.

On March 20, 2023, PVR shares finished at Rs 1,546.6 on the BSE, down 1.81 percent.

On March 20, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, SBI Mutual Fund, and Societe Generale purchased shares in PVR, the multiplex chain operator, for Rs 380.37 crore through open market transactions.

According to BSE bulk trades data, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund purchased 6.41 lakh shares, SBI Mutual Fund purchased 14.69 lakh shares, while Societe Generale – ODI purchased 3.28 lakh shares in PVR.

They purchased a total of 24.39 lakh equity shares in PVR at an average price of Rs 1,559.35 per share.

As of December 2022, SBI MF’s Nifty Smallcap 250 Index Fund owned a 6.11 percent holding or 59.88 lakh shares in PVR, while ICICI Prudential S&P BSE 500 ETF maintained a 4.37 percent stake or 42.83 lakh shares.

Yet, in the aforementioned block agreements, foreign investor Berry Creek Investment was the seller, selling the whole 2.49 percent ownership in PVR.

On March 20, PVR shares closed at Rs 1,546.6 on the BSE, down 1.81 percent.

PPFAS Mutual Fund purchased 11.22 lakh shares of UTI Asset Management Company at an average price of Rs 636 per share in a separate transaction.
